Missions describes all the infiltration activities that the agency performs, be it raiding a corporate vault or rescuing a prisoner from a detention center.

Mission objectives are technically optional. It is perfectly possible to leave a facility as soon as the exit is found, without even doing anything else. However, abandoning a mission without completing the objective is not advised except in dire circumstances, as time is a valuable commodity, and only a certain number of missions can be done before the final conclusion of the campaign.

As time progresses, missions will become more difficult due to the addition of extra security measures. For a detailed breakdown, see: Mission Difficulty.

Mission Types[]

Chief Financial Suite[]

Mission Financial Passcode
Objective: Find the target, and hack into his cranial security.
Rewards: Vault Access Card for use in other facilities.

Chief Financial Suites are one of two sources of Vault Access Cards, the other being Monst3r's random sales. As an added bonus, the Financial Executive carries a large number of credits that can be stolen.

The Financial Executive must be located, knocked out, and guarded for 6 turns. If the Executive is knocked out remotely, scanning will begin as soon as an agent is within a 3 tile radius. Pinning is not required, but at least 1 agent must remain in a 5 tile radius of the Executive at all times, or the brain hack will be permanently disabled. Central will issue a warning when there is only one nearby agent that tries to move 4 tiles away.

Cybernetics Lab[]

Mission Augments
Objective: Find the augment grafting laboratory and hack into their machines.
Rewards: Gain a one-time ability to either install free Augments in an agent, or expand their capacity for augmentation.

Cybernetics labs have a minimum of 2 free Augments housed in Augment Grafters, but can have up to 3. The location may also have an Augment Drill, the only thing able to remove an augment once it is installed. Drills and grafters can both add 1 augment slot to an agent, but doing so will prevent the machines from drilling or grafting, and vice versa.

Any additional augment machines will be located in a second room behind a secure door, which will require a Vault Access Card to open. This room is not guaranteed to spawn.

Detention Center[]

Mission Corporate Prisoners
Objective: Make your way to the holding cells, and escort any prisoner back to the telepad in order to escape.
Rewards: Gain extra agents or a hostage rescue reward.

Detention Centers are used to hold human assets for interrogation and deprogramming. There will either be a captured agent or a random prisoner in the holding cells. Rescued agents will have their augments, but no items (with the exception of Derek, who will always have his Transport Beacon). Prisoners can be brought to the exit for a large credit payout.

If an agent is captured during a mission, they are guaranteed to appear in the next detention center that is visited. Otherwise, the chance for an agent vs. prisoner rescue is 50% on difficulties above Beginner. On Beginner difficulty, the first detention center visited is also guaranteed to have an agent.

Executive Terminals[]

Objective: Find the corporate directory terminal and retrieve the information.
Rewards: Pinpoint new corporate locations of interest.

Executive Terminals contain information about other corporate sites. Hacking the executive terminal will allow you to force a desired mission to appear on the world map.

The first mission of the campaign is always an Executive Terminals mission, but unlike all other such missions, there is no choice in what mission will be spawned by the Site List that is obtained during the mission.

Generally these missions are considered to be the lowest priority, and should only be chosen if a particular mission type is needed or when it is economical to do so in terms of travel time on the world map.

Nanofab Vestibule[]

Mission Contrband Templates
Objective: Find the advanced Nanofab Terminal at this location and hack it to gain access.
Rewards: Gain access to a wide variety of counterfeit goods. You'll need enough credits to make use of this.

Nanofab vestibule missions allow access to a large variety of powerful gear and augments that can be bought from the special Nano Fabricator at the location, which can be further supplemented by the smaller Nano Fabricator that spawns as per usual.

Be aware that all the items that can be acquired here need to be purchased with credits. It is therefore recommended to visit a Vault beforehand, or otherwise ensure that there are sufficient savings in reserve.

Security Dispatch[]

Mission Advanced Gear
Objective: Locate the weapon lockdown room and defeat its security to gain access to the item.
Rewards: A highly valued item to better equip your agents, or sell them for profit.

Security Dispatches house a single high value Gadget or Weapon in a secure lockbox. The lockbox will be located behind a keycard-locked door and a laser grid, requiring Banks' Crypto Computer, a Lock Decoder, or a Lvl1 Passcard to open. If the corporation is in K&O territory, the laser grid will be lethal and impassable without disabling or hacking the generator beforehand.

There is a 25% chance the objective room will spawn with a Hostage in the small 4x4 interrogation room near the objective, as well as a Captain patrolling in and out of the room. Bringing the Hostage to the exit will award a credit payout.

Server Farm[]

Objective: Find the central server room and hack the inventory terminal.
Rewards: Server Farms warehouse advanced security programs that enhance Incognita's abilities.

Server Farms are used to access Shopcat's GR@ND B@Z@@R, from which a large number of programs can be purchased for Incognita. Due to the cost of purchasing multiple programs, it is recommended to visit a Vault beforehand or otherwise ensure that there are sufficient savings in reserve.

Vault[]

Main article: Vault
Mission Credit Reserves
Objective: Break into their high security vault.
Rewards: Vaults hold credits and art objects that can be sold. Vault Access Cards will open the doors to greater riches.

Vaults store a large quantity of credits, and also may hold a pair of Research Experiments, which are each worth 500 CR when brought to the exit.

A Vault Access Card can be obtained prior to visiting this location in order to maximize the amount of loot that can be gathered.

Side Missions[]

The Contingency Plan DLC adds side missions that can randomly appear in all missions other than the first Executive Terminals mission, the final mission, and the two special mid-campaign missions added by the DLC. All side missions are completely optional and do not affect your ability to complete the main mission.

Side Mission Description
Data Banks The corporation you infiltrated has 3 data banks in this regional office. Stealing and scrubbing the data unlocks a Data Log The Contingency Plan about an agent, as well as giving you a Data Card The Contingency Plan that can be taken to the teleporter to be sold on the black market.
Power Relay Station The facility you have infiltrated contains a power relay station. Two security switches must be located and pressed on the same turn in order to unlock the relay room. Upon gaining access and hacking the relay terminal, you will have the option to sell 15 PWR for a large credit payout (500 CR as base, but scalable by mission difficulty and credit multiplier).
Program Compile A renowned computer scientist is working at this facility. You must intercept them and steal their Compile Key The Contingency Plan before they can reach the computer lab and lock it down. If you manage reach the computer lab first with the compile key, you may be able to use the program to upgrade Incognita.
Drone Hijack A drone is being stripped down to get at it's black box, whatever it has seen must be important. Hack the drone and guide it back to the exit, whatever secrets it contains will fetch a high price on the black market.

Special Missions[]

A simple step-by-step tutorial in order to teach the basics of Invisible, Inc. to new operators.

Objective: Acquire the Quantum Reservoir The Contingency Plan project.
Rewards: With luck, we will extend Incognita's life so we can solve this mess.

A special 2-part mission that appears after 72 hours when The Contingency Plan DLC is active. Completing it will give Incognita an additional program slot and add new challenges to the rest of the campaign:

Every mission from here on out now requires you to collect a Universal Power Cell The Contingency Plan to succeed, and the corporations will be operating by a different set of alarm responses.

If he was not selected as a starting agent, Monst3r will accompany the agency to this location. He and at least one other agent must survive to successfully complete the mission.

Final mission
Objective: Find the central server and upload Incognita before she expires.
Rewards: You may survive to see tomorrow. Maybe.

A special mission that appears after 72 hours (120 hours with The Contingency Plan). This is the final mission, so don't save anything; now is the time to use it.

If not selected as starting agents, Central and Monst3r will accompany the agency to this location. Central must survive in order to complete the mission, and Monst3r must survive at least long enough to unlock the final security door, but all other agents are expendable.

Cut Missions[]

The following missions are cut content, and are no longer found in the game.

Secure Holding Facility (find the Mole)
Mision Hostage Situation
Parameters: This is a secure site for the highest-value detainees. Proceed with caution.
Objectives: This mission is also known as the "Mole" mission. Find the secured Holding Room. The secured holding room is secured by a door. So a Pass Card must first be obtained to unlock it. Banks' Crypto Computer (ability) can also unlock this door. The Holding Room is empty and the Mole has most likely been killed. Your second objective will be to find the Captain, who is located in the adjacent room, subdue him and start a brain scan to extract interrogation information. The process will take 6 turns.
